In the properties file, we set base to 5 and overflow to 1. When I review our logs, I have noticed that available is very often 0 or 1 and overflow is very often 1. Is this right?
Also there is a warning after each SQL statement:
You have called close() on a connection twice ! This could cause problems !, CALLER (RESET) Wed Sep 26 09:28:36 PDT 2007
In our application code, if we open a connection, we later call connection.close(). Does this post a problem? |

Hi,
Yes, the "problems with close" message can mean there is a problem with you calling the close() method twice, but its also been linked with a bug when the connection is idled out of the pool. We're planning to release a fix to it in the version 2 code soon.
If you're sure your code is OK, then its probably the bug mentioned.
Note that primrose 3 is going to be released soon, at which point only critical bugs in version 2.x will be fixed - so you may want to look at upgrading. |
