Hi,
Im using primrose with servletexec and IIS.
I first load the pool with admin properties:
#########################
#### Admin settings ####
#########################
adminUser=admin
adminPassword=password
adminWebManagementPort=8090
adminEmailAddresses=myemail
adminEmailNotifcations=false
adminEmailSMTPServer=mysmtp
adminEmailCrisisAddress=myemail
adminEmailNotificationPeriod=10000
adminEmailMaxWarningNumber=10
adminPoolControllerLogFile=PoolController.log
Then I load the pool with the poolConfig properties:
#################################
#### Example Pool Instances #####
#################################
##### parweb pool instance #####
poolName=poolname
base=10
overflow=2
log=1.log
idleTime=120000
messageLogging=true
sizeLogging=true
driverClass=com.inet.tds.TdsDriver
driverURL=jdbc:inetdae7:dbserver:1 |

Oh, and one more thing.
I have created a class for loading the pool. This class has a method called loadPool() and it simply just loades the pool. The first time something is done in my webapp this method is called and thus the pool is created and working but with no logfiles.
Then I tried one thing just for fun. I created a LoadMyPool.class with one simple public static void main(String args[]) method. This method calls the above metioned method loadPool() and nothing more. If I run this class from the console using java LoadPool then the logfiles suddenly appear. But this solution does not work for me because I cant access the pool created from the console in my webapp.
Im really confused here.. Why are there no logfiles when my webapp calls the loadPool() method? |

| Have you tried specifying a full path for the logs .. eg : /var/log/pool1.log ? |

Hi again,
I just checked my servletexec logs and then I saw the problem. The Pool did not have write permissions to where it tried to put the logs. I have no idea where it tries to put them when you dont specify a path...
So I just wrote to logpath fully out and everything was fine.
eg. c:\\somefolder\\someotherfolder\\logfile.log
The logs works perfectly now! Thanks! |
